The Board of the bbk berlin is elected every two years. It consists of two spokespersons and five other members and represents the bbk berlin e.V. as a shareholder in its non-profit subsidiaries, the kulturwerk with its workshops and offices and the bildungswerk.
Born 21/11/84 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Lives and works in Berlin. Studied Philosophy, Anthropology and Roman languages at the University of Heidelberg 2003-05 and Fine Arts / Sculpture at the Art Academy Karlsruhe and the University of Arts Berlin (UdK), 2005-10. Graduated with a Fine Arts Diploma in 2010. Co-founder and head of the "Berlin Art Prize" since 2013. Grants, residencies, artistic and curatorial collaborative projects nationally and internationally.
Born in Fürth/Bavaria, lives and works in Berlin. Studied free graphic design and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg under Prof. Karl Georg Pfahler and Prof. Rolf-Gunter Dienst. Subsequently, scholarship holder at the Institut des Hautes Etudes en Arts Plastiques in Paris under the directions of Daniel Buren, Pontus Hultén and Sarkis. 2005-2008 member of the curatorial team of the 2yk Gallery, Berlin, 2013-2016 board member Deutscher Künstlerbund. Exhibitions nationally and internationally.
Born 1975 in Erlangen/Bavaria. Studied painting/free graphic design and object art at the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg under Prof. Rolf-Gunter Dienst and at the Magyar Képzömüvészeti Föiskola, Budapest under Prof. Dóra Maurer. 2005/2006 post-graduate grant from DAAD (German Academic Exchange) for Tokyo, Japan. She lives and works in Berlin.Besides her focus on conceptual painting she also works in the fields of film, photography and writing. Her theoretical interest and writing often includes Japanese pop and underground culture.

Born in Wernigerode (former GDR). Fled with her family to West Germany in 1982. She took German studies at the University of Münster and studied sculpture and video under Paul Isenrath and later under Guillaume Bijl at Münster University of Fine Arts. Graduated in 2000 with distinction and a master student certificate. She has taught at the University of the Arts in Berlin (UdK), Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) and at Bauhaus University in Weimar. She works across a variety of different media and formats, including installation, performance, sculpture, photography and video. Art projects and exhibitions in Germany and abroad. Since 2002 she has been living with her family in Berlin.
